ReplyDeleteI actually kinda like your outtakes maybe better than the top one. The front urchin being blurry and the books in the back kind of detract in the first. Bottom left mighta been gorgeous with more light on the urchins. I like the glowing window. And I love the bottom right. DOF is perfect. Texture is gorgeous (you can always trust side light for that). A smidge more light would be nice, though.
ah! these are so great. have you seen "the Science of Sleep"? there's a quote from it that these photos remind me of: "I am collecting beautiful objects. A pair of shoes. Some glasses. Telephone. Typewriter. They are made from wood and felt. With apparent stitches. Their delicate and finished appearance is friendly. And they are quiet." these urchins are beautiful objects.
