Part III!
The Fowlers' yard interspersed with some on-the-way-random-park shots.
If you dislike sunflares, goldylight, or the sight of Hannah's face. . . go no further. All other brave souls, press on!
I call this next one Hannah Takes on the World. Like Emperor's New Groove.
- Don't tell me. We're about to go over a huge waterfall.
- Yep.
- Sharp rocks at the bottom?
- Most likely.
- . . . Bring it on.
Meanwhile, back at the Fowlers'. . .
See? I am too funny. I'm just too much fun. You want me to shoot your photos. Because I am SO. FUN. See? Seee?
The fact that the dogs were licking Hannah awkwardly has nothing to do with it!
Fact: I need to spend more time on poses.
Ahhh. Goldylight.

Quiz: Soulful or Total Lame Bar Thing?
Annnnd we'll close with one of my faveytest faveses.
Hannah, thanks for making me feel like a legit photographer. Thanks for trusting me & letting me shoot my first senior portraits ever!! Thanks for the laughs, for telling me the truth, for traipsing around like foreigners, and for writing me letters in that ridiculous phenomenal handwriting.
I'll miss you!

I know you’re trying to stick sooc, which is fantastic, and these are a testament to your skill in so doing. However, if you want to do a little more post, suggestions below.
ReplyDelete1. Um, pale and navy blues . . . Brick red, maroon, and orange hair . . . *clash* Maybe try b&w? Like the composition, though, minus that leaf creeping into the far right.
2. (left) The angle, straight-on, really doesn’t work. Makes her pose look kinda weird.
3. Verra, verra nice.
4. Nice pose, nice expression, nice background. Not so nice half-in-shadow-half-not lighting. But I know what it’s like with models facing into the sun.
(lost count) Headshots against the tree where you say “goldylight” – really lovely expression here. The light is a leetle harsh/red, though, so consider a) white balance, b) b&w, and c) cropping out the half-knees, half-hands at the bottom?
Mmm, soulful = allowable in portraiture, methinks.
P.S. Nice horse.
P.P.S Did you say *two* cameras around your neck?
blacknwhited the first, toned down the gold "classic", don't know how to adjust white balance but posted some b&w's of the others you requested.
ReplyDeleteas for half-shadow lighting, yeah. I know. It stinks. But I just liked the pose so much I posted it anyway. Seeing as I ain't a professional, I can do that. :P
And yeah. She brought her sister's for back-up.
