of birthdays and acrobatics
So it was Sarah's birthday.
So I thought - ah, what a wondrous event to capture.
So I got maybe 1 decent picture all day.
Okay fine, maybe that's an exaggeration. Let's just say the whole portrait idea with a cookie sheet for a reflector and a floor lamp for lighting--it didn't quite work out. A little more research is in order. We did end up in hysterics though, after mom walked in to see sarah perched on my bed, holding a cookie sheet under her chin and trying not to laugh at me. Please note the pan.
I tell you my friends I was wobbling on one leg while my other held up the fan which was perched on a chair with some books underneath so as to blow appropriately, my left hand holding our floor lamp and my right hand holding the camera except the camera kept wobbling because I was wobbling and Sarah's contacts were about to pop out because the fan was blowing in her face.
Let's just say I see now why photographers have assistants.
Just kidding. And yes, I did really document the day this minutely. Sarah has a crown adjustment. Sarah wipes mouth with napkin.
Sarah walks down hallway.
etc.
But I'll spare you any more of these. I think I was just too excited by all the excitement. We had a list of adventures to accomplish you see. Including one (1) makeover. Tada.
btw it was sprayed with spritzy perfume stuff. So it not only looked fabulous, it SMELLED fabulous. Yeah I know. My birthday adventures are the best.
Pre-makeover:
Post-makeover:
I wonder why she looks happier in the pre-makeover photo??
Anyway. Moving right along. Actually wait back up.
See me? Yeah I'm in that picture. Okay moving on. Next adventure = food making.
The finished product? Haha. I feel sorry for you that you didn't eat it. But like all my pictures that day it looks grosser than it tasted. Cause the taste. . . ahh the taste my friends!! Broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl worthy of Panera's.
Before we got to the finished product though, there was a walk and all manner of enjoyable stuffs. Some fun from the walk...

dearie me if only we would smile at the camera. >.>

sometimes problems like the above could be solved by simply turning around. thank you captain obvious. >.> anyways we found a very happy red bug.
we even have fun in elevators.

grinalicious = food + grin + camera =
slyagricious = sly look + half grin + camera =
happilicious = sisters + grin + camera =
It was a memorable day. And while this post may be a blight upon any upstanding photographer wanna-be's bloggage, the day shall live on in my memorie and stuff like that! :D
the pictures of the gift opening are even lamer than the ones on here. so they remain dormant.
but in closing, I think I redeemed myself with this awesome sweatshirt copyright me.
boom baby!
oh yeah.
